White smoke is seen rising up the Chimney of the Sistine Chapel, signaling a new Pope has been elected by the College of Cardinals.
The 267th Pope to rule over 1.4 Billion Catholics has been chosen day 2 after the election, to the joyous eruption of joy from thousands of faithful that that kept glued on the chimney waiting for the white smoke, after the initial billowing of black smoke.
The bells are tolling at St. Peter’s Basilica and the whole contingent of the papal troop in a joyful parade.
However, thousands of people who have gathered at the Basilica are waiting to see the Pope appear in the Balcony and the world awaits him as well.
